With the world in chaos and the government not seeming to be able to organise a piss up in brewery the world is changing every day, quicker and quicker...
My question is though, do you think there will ever be a time when someone is hired for a job completely through social media?
I.e. sees job post on Facebook, applies, starts to FB chat, has an interview on FB chat ala MSN chat esque and then is offered the job? Do you think that could concievably happen, especially with Covid-19 seemingly here for the foreseeable future.
Yeah definitely I'm sure its happening already, it depends on the industry of course.
I believe this could happen maybe not exactly how you've put it but seeing as face to face interviews are out of the question theres zoom/teams. Contacting through emails and video chat is probably normal for jobs that are advertised internationally.
I dont think so. Seeing as we have so many ways of communicating I dont see the whole hiring process happening on social media.
The way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if this became the new norm
I think that social media hires could happen soon especially in the creative industry where I believe that professionals are thriving

Posted 2 years agoMy last job was exactly like that. I saw the ad online, applied using Google forms, hav=d my interview over Skype and started the following week. I ended up there for 4 years so it's nothing new to me.
