Throughout your work you will also be progressing towards a Level 4 higher apprenticeship in PR (foundation degree equivalent). This is a nationally recognised qualification route. This will involve ‘on the job’ training, visits from an assessor to the workplace, an internal mentor to provide ongoing guidance, online learning and creating a portfolio of evidence. You will be working towards an end-point-assessment which will determine if you have the knowledge, skills, and behaviours listed in the PR & Communications Assistant Standard. In the process, you will develop a wide understanding of PR and the impact it has on businesses. What matters most in this role: Key responsibilities: PRCA Apprenticeship – You are responsible for completing your Level 4 apprenticeship on time, and to a good standard as judged by both your assessor and managers within LMC. You are expected to pursue all training and learning opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge, as well as taking opportunities to shadow and/or help more senior colleagues at client meetings and events. And you are responsible for actively using everything you learn, sharing knowledge gained in the apprenticeship in a way that adds value to LMC and its clients. Writing and content, PR and digital comms – You are responsible for developing your writing and content creation skills across a wide range of materials typically used within a PR campaign and learning how to successfully deal with journalists and media requests. You are also expected to develop an understanding of digital communications, including how SEO works and how it can be applied to your work, and of effective PR evaluation techniques. Contribution to client success – Your ideas and creativity are hugely valued. You are expected to contribute to their success by being a helpful and reliable team member, offering your ideas and insights and proactively supporting other consultants with research and creative suggestions for client campaigns.
