5 Ways To Stop Overthinking When You Have Anxiety

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all keeping safe and well.

It has been suggested that the average person has over 6,000 thoughts every single day – you add anxiety into the mix and it could probably feel like 100,000.

Overthinking is an incredibly common symptom of anxiety where you can find yourself worrying about the way you are coming across to others, panicking about situations that haven’t yet occurred and frantically stressing about all the things you need to accomplish.

Although overthinking is an extremely normal concept and a lot of ourselves find we are doing it on a subconscious level, it is important to try and gain back some control because our thoughts become our reality.

What we focus on expands and goes on to dictate our experiences. Ruminating over negative thoughts could even prohibit us from reaching our true potential.
