It is a call to end police oppression and brutality in Nigeria.
I have seen the hashtag trending on my timeline and I've watched some videos of the recent protests but can someone 'in the know' explain what's really going on?

In a nutshell, the SARS ought to be like the SWAT forces in the UK or USA. The reason for protest is that the SARS actually partake shooting innocent youths and attacking any young person they feel like or they assume are fraudulent. The protest has grown to this size because the officers are not trained and kill anyone they see.
